Me
About SharonMarie. I grew up in the cornfields of the Midwest and I’m still here, so I guess that makes me a midwest girl but……
…..I’m really a beach girl! I love, love, love the beach and the warm sunshine. I’d live on the beach if I could! Ah well.. maybe someday!.
I married my grade school sweetheart. Yep, you read that right. I grew up with, went to the same church and the same school with my dh (dear husband). We’ve been in love since grade school. We married right out of high school, (that would be 28 years ago). And it does get better each year! Truly!
We have seven wonderful children, 6 girls and 1 boy, (I know, poor boy). We also have 3 wonderful sons-in-law, and 5 precious granddaughters. It is true, grandkids are a wonderful thing! Love ‘em!!
I am a Christian. Translation: I have accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior. Accepting His death on the cross as payment for my sins, so that now I can look forward to spending eternity with Him in Heaven when my life here on earth is over.
I love to cook and try out new recipes. I’m always looking for easy recipes with simple ingredients I can find at my local store.
I love to scrapbook my photos and chronicle this blessed life we’ve been given, so my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren can see their history.
I love to organize “everything”! Just ask my dh and my kids. Sometimes they can’t find things ’cause I’ve organized them! So I have to explain to them where and how much easier it now is to keep track of “things”!
I love to read cookbooks and cooking magazines, watch cooking shows, and try new recipes.
I love to garden and preserve my own food. But I hate the weeding part, by the end of the season I’m ready to mow everything off! So I’m glad for winter in that it gives me a break, time to regroup and plan for next year, hoping it will be a better year. LOL
I love photography, well playing around with it anyway. My favorite photos are flowers and scenes. I don’t know, they just speak to me and I love to capture their beauty!!
I love to decorate my home, changing things up periodically! (Thats when my dh comes home from work and finds his favorite chair is on the other side of the room). I say it doesn’t hurt to have a change of scenery now and then, right?
I’m looking forward to being in touch with other moms about homemaking and all that goes along with it! I would love to hear from you!
