Menu for the week of July 2

018

Wow, July is here already. Did you celebrate the 4th last weekend? Or are you celebrating next weekend? Or are you like us and you’re just celebrating it on the day with a picnic and fireworks? It’s been a couple years since we went to the lake with friends, had a picnic and watched fireworks, so that’s the plan this year. The fireworks are extra special reflecting off the lake so I’m looking forward to it!

Since it’s the beginning of a new month, I sat down last weekend and made out the menu for the month of July. That may sound overwhelming to some of you, but I find it so much easier to sit down only once a month and plan my meals out. I get a much better variety, try more new recipes and save a lot of time and money doing it this way. If you’d like to know how I do it you can click here!

Last week I tried a new recipe called Garlic Chicken Pizza. I loved it and so did the family and we didn’t have any leftovers! If you’re wanting to try this new recipe click here. As for the new Apple dumpling recipe, I didn’t get that made. But I’ll be making it soon as I have apples that need to be used, so stay tuned. I’ll let you know next week how it goes!

This week we’re eating:

Monday- Cheddar Meat loaves, new potatoes, green beans

Tuesday- BBQ Chicken Pizza, Strawberry Romaine Salad, Apple Dumplings (I hope)

Wednesday- The 4th of July celebration- picnic-Turkey Club Sandwiches, Baked Chips, Watermelon, Monster Cookies

Thursday-Broccoli Spaghetti (new recipe), Green Salad

Friday- Salsa Beef Sandwiches,(new recipe) Candy Bar Apple Salad, Sweet Potato Fries
